Here are some examples of songs of different levels we can work on.
Hey guys! Here’s some new music for you. This is a song written by the amazing Mark Kelso and it can be found on the “Stealing From My Youth” record by Mark Kelso & the Jazz Exiles. This one is a very difficult track to play because it is just so fast. I still need to polish my playing I think but I thought this one was ok to share with you. I hope you’ll enjoy! (and go buy Mark’s records on groovydrums.com).
Hey guys! Here’s another song for you and this time, I’m playing the great Brazilian big band track “Deixa Falar” written by Henrique De Almeida. This song features many interesting brazilian grooves like samba funk, batucada, jazz samba and a nice vamp to solo over near the end.
If you guys want to play along to this track, it can be found on Henrique’s website, thedrumsetcoach.com.
Hi everybody! Here’s my version of the Dave Weckl Band song « Big B Little B » which was originally released back in 1998 on the « Rhythm Of The Soul » record. The version you’re hearing here can be found in the « play along » section of the Dave Weckl Online School. You can hear a few syncopated rhythms on this track along with a challenging drum solo to be played over some tricky figures. I hope you’ll enjoy!
